These are the final notes I am scribbling down before I engage in an epic battle with a monstrous creature from the underworld, the world beneath the ground where I find myself now. To cut a long story short, if you (whatever remains of me) stumble upon this notebook, it means that the monster has defeated me. I hope I perished as a hero, and that despite my absence, (your act of revenge) made the neighborhood party somewhat enjoyable. I certainly did my best. Thank you for everything, although it's too much to put into words (and honestly, I'm impressed that I wrote this much).

I certainly gave it my all. My gratitude for everything transcends written expression (and to be frank, I already consider it a feat that I have written this much).
